So I had never seen this film.  My wife used to love watching this as a kid.  So I gave it a try.  It had its moments but not one of the better Chevy Chase movies.  It seemed like a lot of the movie was cut out that would have made the plot and/or funny parts funnier.

So I got to see another movie in the theater!  The whole family went to see this film.  Unfortunately, it wasn't great.  G got antsy and tired but H was interested.  Still, probably the worst Pixar film, but that is still better than a lot of movies.

So I like dumb movies like this but this was really dumb.  Although the end credits were surprisingly insightful and worth watching.  It essentially puts AIG/Bernie Madoff/bail-out figures into graphic visualizations.  Check out the movie at least for the credits.  Ha!

So I knew this was going to be a dumb movie.  I was super intrigued as it started off with Beatles music and awesome dioramas of anthropomorphic mice.  Then it just got dumb and boring.  Finally, when the get to the dinner party it got funny but it just felt lame.  This film could have been great if it was cast with different actors and had some tweaks to the story line.  It felt like an art/independent/Wes Anderson film but with an Anchorman cast.

So I can't say I was surprised by this movie.  It was pretty dull and easy to guess the outcome.  Did we really think Gordon Gekko was a good guy?  Also, the whole birthday party during the credits was outrageously lame.  I can't believe Oliver Stone thought this was a good idea!

So I really liked how the movie started.  Building anticipation and then lots of fast paced action.  Then, the movie hit the brakes and slowed down to a snail's pace.  Very boring at times. Beautiful Italian towns, though.

So I thought this would have been better but it wasn't.  Hillary Swank was downright annoying and the cheesy love story made me fast forward at times.  The first half of the movie was very jumpy.  I couldn't follow it at all.  The second half was super slow.  It wasn't until her final flight that things got interesting.  Of course, the movie was essentially over at that point...
